School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering has two undergraduate majors in chemical engineering and technology, and applied chemistry. The majors of chemical engineering and technology have formed two professional directions: "Energy Engineering Technology" and "Advanced Chemical Engineering Technology", and the specialty of applied chemistry has formed two distinctive directions: “Urban Eco-Environmental Chemistry” and “Functional Material Chemistry” after years of development and practice. At present, it has a comprehensive professional training plan, with clear training goals, reasonable curriculum settings, and distinctive professional characteristics.
The school has one master degree in chemical engineering and technology. five master degree programs in applied chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, industrial catalysis, chemical technology, etc. And materials and chemical engineering degree two master degree. The school has two key scientific research teams: "Environmental Catalytic Governance and Interface Applied Electrochemical Research Team" and "Photoelectrochemical Catalysis Team". It has Shaanxi Province Basic Chemistry Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, Chemical Virtual Simulation Experiment Center, Shaanxi Provincial Joint Research Center for Clean Chemical and Metallurgical Processes and other provincial teaching and research platforms.
The school has a chemical and chemical experiment center. The teaching area is nearly 2000 square meters. It has two experimental platforms: the Basic Chemistry Experiment Center and the Chemical Industry Virtual Simulation Experiment Center. Have a total of 1126 pieces (sets) of equipment. It mainly undertakes experimental teaching tasks for 23 undergraduates in related majors, including civil engineering, environmental engineering, metallurgy, materials, chemical engineering, chemical engineering, etc. It set up more than 80 experimental projects and receives 139,800 students each year.
There are currently more than 600 students in the school, the cumulative number of graduates has reached more than 1,700. The school currently has 57 faculty members, including 9 professors, 30 teachers with deputy senior titles or above, doctoral rate is above 85%. The academic relationship and reasonable age structure provide first-class teacher guarantee for the development of the school.
In the past five years, school teachers have undertaken nearly 20 national-level projects, nearly 100 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects, and total research funding of more than 30 million yuan. Published more than 400 academic papers, including more than 100 SCI retrieval papers, and authorized more than 30 national invention patents. Has won the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, the first prize of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Science and Technology Award, the first prize of the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and more than 10 provincial and ministerial scientific research awards.
